LAUNCH OF PUBLIC HEALTH CLUB
On Buddha Purnima, SDRV Convent School inaugurated its Public Health Club in partnership with the School of Public Health, University of Memphis, USA, becoming the first school in India to do so.
Following an inspiring interaction with students, teachers, and Principal Smt. Gargi Ghosh Kansabanik, Dr. Ashish Joshi, Dean of the University of Memphis, announced the club's launch. This initiative aims to promote public health education and foster global learning opportunities for students and the community.

WFUNA (GENEVA ,SWITZERLAND)
Students from SDRV Convent School have been invited to represent India at the prestigious International Conference on Public Health, organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). The conference will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from October 29th to November 1st, 2024.
Bringing together young leaders and innovators from around the world, the conference serves as a platform to exchange ideas and address critical global public health challenges. The selection of SDRV students reflects their exceptional academic performance, innovative problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership potential.
Under the guidance of their mentors and educators, these students will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful discussions on public health issues, gaining valuable insights and experiences on an international stage.

The Public Health Club of SDRV Convent School proudly took a step toward environmental sustainability with a meaningful plantation drive, reinforcing the importance of a greener, healthier future. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about climate change, deforestation, and the crucial role trees play in maintaining ecological balance.
By planting trees, students actively contributed to cleaner air, improved biodiversity, and a healthier environment. The drive not only encouraged environmental stewardship but also aligned with global sustainability efforts, particularly the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Climate Action (SDG 13), Life on Land (SDG 15), and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).
Through hands-on participation, students learned the significance of afforestation, responsible environmental practices, and the power of individual actions in combating global warming. The plantation drive was more than just an event—it was a commitment to protecting nature one tree at a time.
